Produced from the vineyard named 'Colombaia', this Chianti of the Senese Hills comes from a blend of Sangiovese (90%) and small percentages of Canaiolo and other red grapes of the Casale and Colombaia vineyards. After brief passage in oak casks, this wine is further on refined in the bottle for a few months. It then must pass the accurate examination of the Titolato Consortium before being sold. With it's ruby red colour, it's pleasantly rich appealing flavours of red berries and a taste that feels warm, intense, dry and velvety; this wine is the perfect example of a fine Chianti Colli Senesi.

Production Area: from the property owned vineyards Colombaia and Casale in San Gimignano-Tuscany
Vine Variety: Sangiovese 90%, with a small percentage of Canaiolo, Black Malvasia and other red grape varieties.
Vinification: This wine is fermented and stocked in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. The maceration period is about 10/15 days long. Before bottling it spends 3 to 4 months in oak barrels.
Alcohol content: 12,50 % Total Acidity: 5,90 gr/l Residual Sugar: 1,5 gr/l
Aging: wine is aged 4-5 month in the bottle before leaving the winery. It can age for about 3 to 4 years in the bottle.
Main features: Ruby red color. It is pleasantly rich, with appealing flavors of red berries. To the taste it feels warm, intense, dry and velvety.
Best at temperature: 18°C
Best with: salty antipasti and pasta dishes with heavy sauces of meat and mushrooms; roasted white and red meats, game; fresh to medium aged cheeses.
